Thank you to Slippery Elm!
I’m honored and ecstatic to announce that my short story “All Possible Exits” was chosen as the winner for the Slippery Elm 2020 Prose Contest!
While I would not have guessed I would win the Slippery Elm 2020 Prose Prize, I have always believed in this story. It was born from the rare instance when a story is drawn from you fully-formed, sitting up and speaking without your power or permission. Except for the title, which I commissioned my poet friends to help me figure out (something I would highly recommend all fiction writers to try!).
“All Possible Exits” will be published on Slippery Journal’s online journal in a year, and will be published in Slipper Elm’s print journal this spring. I’m overwhelmed with appreciation and gratitude that “All Possible Exits” has found its place amongst the welcoming pages of Slippery Elm <3
