Brink Literacy Project: Youth Pilot Program

In January of 2024, I joined the Brink Literacy Project team as a Writing Instructor for the Frames Prison Program, which uses comic book study and creation as a form of empowering narrative therapy. This summer, we ran our first youth pilot program.

This group of students is so insanely special—talented, kind, hilarious, inspiring. Working alongside them on crafting turning-point stories has been the brightest part of my week since July. I'm so proud of them, and so thankful to Rocky Mountain PBS for capturing their brilliance and energy!
